Winning Souls Starts With Loving People Christian evangelism has too often focused on “winning souls” to the exclusion of meeting real, everyday needs. Yet Jesus’ earthly ministry followed a different pattern: He reached for people on the margins. He touched people no one else would touch. He spoke hope to people consumed by despair. And as the Lord extended Himself in compassion to meet the needs of the sick, the lost, and the hopeless, people turned their hearts to Him. Love Like Jesus will help you follow Jesus’ pattern for changing lives. You will learn the importance of placing your confidence in Him alone, of staying faithful through seasons of unfruitfulness, of facing your fears with courage, and much more. Most of all, you will catch a vision of God’s unfathomable love for every person, and get the tools you need to share it with people in need of a Savior. By prevalent, I mean people are more and more open to it. In the era we live in, the great thing is people aren’t getting hung up on these technical terms as much as they are getting really caught up in the person of Jesus and in the simplicity of Scripture.
I think that’s what’s exciting to me.

Scripture reading — Lamentations The Book of Lamentations, though only five chapters in length, is powerful, poetic, and a devastating portrait of the consequences of sin. The book is as its name suggest, a book of laments. We find in its pages five laments, penned and enunciated by the prophet Jeremiah, as he gazes upon the rubble that was once the beautiful city of David.
With the city destroyed and the majority of the people taken away to Babylon, Jeremiah and a few poor citizens remained in Judah to work the land and serve Babylon. In a prayer of intercession, Jeremiah confessed the sins of His nation

It all started with my journey to Israel this past summer. My dad has had his own past with different religions, believes and reads a lot of books about all kinds of religions, but is an atheist. My mom grew up in a very traditional and strict Catholic family. When they finally got married I was three. My mom has since then converted to the Protestant faith and I joined her for church many times when I was younger.
Indeed, the man we revere as a modern prophet, Joseph Smith, was martyred for his Jeremiah has prophesied that in the latter times “the house of Judah shall walk contains no history of Israel, nor of Joseph’s descendants after this date. your king, you will know him; your destiny is marked out, you cannot avoid it.
Among some of my most cherished experiences and recollections are the fond association I have enjoyed in past years with the Jewish people in the United States and the land of Israel. I have visited Israel three times. I have met hundreds of government officials, farmers, business and trade people, and leaders in professions. During a luncheon given in my honor, chaired by Mr. Ben-Gurion sent a handwritten note to me from the hospital, asking would I call on him if my time permitted.
This I did. He was sitting in a rocker with one leg elevated as I walked into his hospital room. You may recall that some crank threw a bomb into Parliament and his ankle was injured.
Years of ministry leadership experience and personal experience have convinced Dr. Dharius Daniels: there’s no such thing as a casual relationship. All relationships are catalytic – either pushing us forward into our God-given purposes or holding us back. Our spiritual, physical, financial, emotional, and professional progress is greatly impacted by who we allow to be a part of our lives and what part we allow them to play.
With our destiny on the line, relationships are too consequential to nonchalantly roll the dice in managing them. Relationships were God’s idea, writes Daniels, and when we understand and apply what God has to say about them we end up avoiding unnecessary relational turmoil, advancing in all areas of our life, and accomplishing our God-given purpose.

What does the Bible say about? For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord , plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord , endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands. I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace.
In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world. So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
